MEMBERSHIP

Newport Rifle Club caps its membership at 700. At this time, there are plenty of openings for new members.

New Member Requirements:

New members are required to contribute 8 hours of work within their first year of membership. Opportunities to complete this requirement are plentiful, ranging from monthly range cleanups to supporting youth training sessions. Motivated members can come up with their own projects subject to Executive Board approval.

All NRC members are required to join the National Rifle Association. NRC members receive a discount to the NRA’s annual dues. Prospective members who are already NRA members should provide proof of membership when applying.

  • Submit to a background check

  • Appear at a monthly NRC meeting at FOP Lodge 21 (464 Mitchells Lane, Middletown) to be introduced and vetted by the membership

  • Read the Policy and Procedures Manual

  • Attend the next monthly meeting to complete paperwork and join the club.

  • Attend a New Member Orientation/Qualification. Upon completing the orientation/qualification you will be issued your key card.
